Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN

LVN PositionWe are hiring an LVN who can work TH-Sat AM shift and Sun 11AM-7PM. This individual provides direct and indirect resident care services that ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of residents; includes the performance of disease prevention and restorative measures. What You Will Do:Develops short- and long-term goals and objectives in consultation with community management and consistent with Sequoia Living Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Commitment to Inclusion. Fosters an environment of employee engagement and resident satisfaction.Administers medications and treatments as directed. Responds to emergency situations and provides care.Directs Certified Nursing Assistants in performance of work.Maintains medical records as required.Provides direct care, reorders residents' medications, charts summaries and other pertinent information, communicates status during shift change, checks supplies, and maintains equipment.Reports all sudden changes to the physician immediately.Assists in the planning of resident care activities based upon the Service Plan.Participates in the interdisciplinary team.Functions as shift Charge Nurse as assigned.Performs related work as assigned.Why Work Here:$42.51 - $49.95/hrFor individuals who work more than 30 hrs/week, employer-paid medical, dental & vision, 18 days PTO + 8 holidays, 403(b) with employer contribution, tuition assistance, referral bonuses, employee discounts, and growth opportunities.Who You Are:You enjoy working with people and have interpersonal skills.You can use tact and courtesy in dealing with residents under sometimes trying conditions. Sensitivity and understanding of issues related to aging. Patience and tact in dealing with the elderly. Judgment in order to recognize sudden changes regarding medical conditions. Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written English communication skills.Ability to perform work that requires continual standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting of at least 50 pounds.Current valid California LVN license and Basic Life Support certification.
