Make UF Health your next career destination.Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role the Medical Laboratory Assistant will perform the following job duties:Perform skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.Prompt accurate processing of test requisitions, accurate charging, registering and ordering tests for outpatients, informing techs of stats and other timed or urgent testing.Telephone patients, physicians and nursing units when required.Maintain neat and organized collection trays, collection areas and work areas.Expected to demonstrate logical, professional behaviors under demanding and stressful conditions.ScheduleFTE.50Hours: 3:00pm-11:00pmDays: Saturday, Sunday, MondayQualificationsEducationRequired: High school diploma or GEDLicensure/Certification/RegistrationPreferred: Phlebotomy CertificationSpecial Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/ExperienceRequired: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
