Travel RN - Case Management/Utilization Review - Case Management

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN - Case Manager for an inpatient hospital position in Oregon, requiring an active OR RN license, Epic experience, and at least 2 years of inpatient case management experience.

Job Details

• Inpatient Case Manager role within a hospital setting,
• Focus areas include discharge planning, long-stay management, and care coordination,
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts (7:00-17:30) with a variable schedule,
• Weekend rotation required - one full weekend every third weekend,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• May be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation,

Job Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required,
• Current AHA BLS certification required,
• BSN or MSN required,
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient Case Manager experience required,
• Epic charting experience required,
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required - Charge RN references are not acceptable,
• COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include concurrent and retrospective medical record review, insurance authorization documentation, and coordinating discharge plans and community transitions,
• Preferred experience includes knowledge of Medicare/insurance guidelines, complex discharges, DME, Home Health, Hospice, SNF placements, and prior authorizations,
• Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable,
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate - no radius restriction,
• Candidates who were previously employed or on assignment at the associated health system must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them,
• Former staff must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler,
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks,
