We seek individuals who not only bring the right skills but also align with our culture and values, making Boys the ideal place for those seeking purpose and impact in their careers.**Position Summary** As a Foreman Electrician at Boys Electrical, you will lead small crews or sections of larger projects, ensuring that all electrical tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a balance of leadership and hands-on electrical work, including the installation of electrical equipment, devices, and fixtures, pulling cable, excavation, trenching, and job site maintenance**Your Essential Functions include:****Leadership and Supervision*** Lead and mentor field personnel, including Electricians, Mechanics, and Apprentices.* Coordinate daily tasks, manage manpower, oversee material including needs, delivery, inventory, and organization, ensuring project timelines and budget are achieved.* Conduct regular meetings with your team and other trades to discuss project progress and resolve any issues**Project Coordination*** Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.* Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications to accurately lay out electrical work.* Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with National Electrical Codes and company standards**Quality Control and Documentation*** Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, feedback, and mentorship.* Ensure quality control on all projects by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.* Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and any issues that arise.**Safety and Compliance*** Adhere to all state, federal, and company safety standards, policies, and regulations.* Conduct regular safety audits on-site and address any hazards immediately.* Ensure that all team members follow safety protocols and receive necessary safety training.**Technical Proficiency*** Perform hands-on electrical tasks as needed, including underground work, rough-in, trim-out, and system installations.* Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.* Stay updated on the latest industry standards and best practices.**Communication and Reporting*** Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.* Report daily progress and any issues to the Project Manager.* Ensure all team members are aware of project updates and changes## Qualifications**Qualifications****To excel as a Foreman Electrician, you'll need a mix of core skills and experience that demonstrate strong leadership, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety and quality:****Experience & Certifications** Proven experience in commercial electrical work, with at least five years in the field.**Technical Knowledge** Strong understanding of National Electrical Codes and ability to read and interpret blueprints.Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to electrical work, including hand tools, large pipe bending equipment, wire pulling machines, and earth-moving equipment.**Core Skills*** **Communication**: Excellent at clearly articulating standards and expectations to team members and other trades.* **Leadership**: Effective in leading and mentoring a team, providing constructive feedback, and fostering development.* **Problem Solving:** Proficient in addressing issues with a solution-focused approach.* **Decision Making**: Quick and effective in making informed decisions.* **Time Management:** Efficient in managing multiple tasks under pressure.* **Values**: Demonstrates values aligned with those of Boys Electrical Contractors, including respect, integrity, and teamwork. Ensures all work adheres to regulatory guidelines and company policies.**Physical Requirements** To effectively perform the duties of a Foreman Electrician, you'll need to meet the following physical demands essential for this role:* Mobility: Capability to move freely across all areas of our warehouse and projects, including standing, walking, traversing, climbing stairs up to access various floors, climbing ladders, and working in a variety of working environments and weather conditions.* Flexibility: Comfort with stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as needed during site inspections and safety assessments.* Strength: Ability to regularly lift or move objects weighing up to 50lbs.* Dexterity: Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.* Vision: Close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.* Hearing: Normal hearing to communicate effectively**Work Environment*** This role requires extended periods outdoors, often in direct sunlight and varying weather conditions.* Regular exposure to potentially dangerous conditions including electrical hazards, confined spaces, heights, and other high-risk environments associated with construction activities.**Why Boys?**Boys Electrical Contractors is a growing company with expanding opportunities across all departments.
