About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Nights EOW Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Yes Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: At least 1 year in a PCU setting Comfort managing drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin Description: Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be DNU for 6 months. The float pool includes MedSurg, Tele, and PCU. The average census is 20 patients across units. Ratios are PCU 1:4 and MedSurg/Tele 1:5-6. Utilization of nurse aids in all settings is expected. Patients include geriatric and ortho patients, as well as those post-procedures from a cath lab. Charge nurses will not take assignments. Nurses are required to interpret strips. Scheduling is managed by a scheduler, and travelers need to be flexible. Every other weekend is required. Travelers will be included in holiday rotations. Assignments will be communicated 2 hours prior to the start of the shift via text message. Solid color professional scrubs are required, with a transition to navy scrubs in October. Nurse should be comfortable with CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow systems. Monitor techs will provide monitoring support for PCU and MedSurg Tele.
