Details work setting in the Medical Surgical unit Patient ratios of 1:6-7 with potential flex to 1:7 during unplanned absences Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Required to work every other weekend PRN low census on-call requirement Floating required within scope to like units or sister facilities Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred Experience with Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response required Epic EMR experience required Driver's license and Social Security number required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care within a 34-bed facility Skills utilized may include IV therapy/phlebotomy, PICC line management, central line blood draws, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias Experience with CVA care, pre/post neurosurgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, and total joint replacement patients is a plus Royal blue scrub color required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Block scheduling requests may be submitted but are not guaranteed Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams American Traveler Job ID P-746487.
