Physical Therapist Assistant
Salary is determined based on individual experience, and the range may not include differentials which are based on team assignment. By helping students with autism build confidence, strength, and independence.
What Youll Do:
- Implement individualized treatment and exercise programs that support each students motor and mobility goals
- Deliver treatment plans and exercise programs based on Physical Therapy assessments and IEP goals
- Perform assessments and contribute to IEP planning meetings
- Complete student reevaluations to support student IEP development
- Train staff on adaptive equipment use and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Support classroom and residential accommodations

What Youll Need:
- Masters degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education)
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Three years of pediatric experience preferred (experience with autism or developmental disabilities a plus)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and observation skills
