Process development Technician

Summary Solutions Advanced Operations team is seeking to hire a Process Technician, Advanced Operations to support new process and product introductions in Phoenix and Chandler, AZ. This role provides hands‑on technical support for manufacturing process development, equipment installation and validation, and documentation required to successfully launch and sustain production processes. The position partners closely with Engineering and Operations to troubleshoot issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality, GMP, and safety requirements. A key focus of this role is supporting production readiness through process stabilization and training during new process implementations. What you will do Provide hands‑on technical support for the development, implementation, and sustainment of production and inspection processes to meet quality, cost, and efficiency objectives. Develop, evaluate, and improve processing methods and controls, recommending and coordinating implementation of changes to optimize safety, quality, cost, and throughput. Support new process and product introductions, ensuring activities are executed and documented in compliance with client new product development and validation procedures. Monitor assigned operations to ensure compliance with approved methods, material specifications, GMP, GDP, and safety requirements. Investigate work‑in‑process issues and process deviations, perform technical evaluation and root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Identify sources of process waste and variability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean and operational excellence principles. Support Project and Process Engineers in the development of manufacturing and inspection process flows, and in the execution of DOE, DFM/DFI, and DV build activities. Execute equipment installation, qualification, and validation activities to support production readiness and compliance requirements. Create, update, and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, including accountability for records in accordance with client specifications. Support engineering change control activities, including ECO implementation and related production control documentation. Provide clear, timely communication of observations, issues, and results, delivering status updates and technical input to engineering and management. Work collaboratively in a team‑based environment, supporting continuous improvement efforts and a culture of integrity, accountability, and customer focus. Support training and knowledge transfer for production floor team members, ensuring personnel are prepared to safely and effectively execute new or updated processes during process launches and changes. All other duties as assigned. What you need High School diploma or equivalent. Requires 2 years of relevant experience. Must possess excellent organization and communication skills. Must be PC literate, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex drawings and understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (incl. GD&T). High knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials. Demonstrated ability to lay out and set‑up machines as well as lead or conduct manufacturing batch runs.
