The Senior Inventory Control leader will also be responsible for developing and progressing key customer relationships and operational partnerships necessary to drive and support an atmosphere of continuous improvement and operational excellence as it relates to inventory control management.Business benefits of the role:Ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand and maintain service level agreements as outlined in the commercialsImprove overall inventory accuracy, accountability and reporting achieved by ensuring best practice process and procedures are in placeMinimize and mitigate risk exposure to DHL and the client by improving the focus on inventory control and its financial benefits ensuring accurate accounting for our client's assetsResponsible for setting the strategic direction for supply chain and solution initiatives revolving around Inventory Control and Inventory PlanningDevelops proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to inventory control and the management of the client's assetsDevelops new and innovative methods of analyzing data and determines which methods to apply inventory control and the management of.Responsible for ensuring adherence to Inventory Control KPI outlined in the commercial agreement are met.CustomerEnsure customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contractual requirements / service level agreements are monitored and reported timely to site leadership.Maximize the performance of the site inventory processes and system to ensure:Care, custody, and control of customer inventoryAccuracy (to floor and customer book)Proper utilization of information technologyProvide required documentation to customer, customer's financial statement auditor or appropriate regulatory auditor in support of compliance requirementsAssociateEnsure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associatesManage site hourly and exempt associatesConduct associate performance reviews, individual development plans and succession plansEnsure company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced at appropriate levelsTake an active leadership role in managing turnover to the appropriate levelRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years Inventory Control experience, Required3+ years logistics industry experience, Required3+ years management experience (unit pick environment, large company preferred, Required1+ years client relationship, staff mgmt. & objective setting experience, RequiredStaff management & Objective Setting, RequiredMetric development and reporting across cross functional leadership, RequiredKnowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc., RequiredKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications, RequiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to the audience, RequiredOur Organization is an equal opportunity employer.
