On-Call/Float CNA or Experienced Caregiver for Stable Assignment

On-Call / Float CNA or Experienced Caregiver Monday–Friday and/or Weekends | 8:00 AM–8:00 PM | $50 On-Call Rate + Base Pay Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring dependable and experienced CNAs and Caregivers! This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, reliable, and comfortable stepping in when coverage is needed throughout Huntsville and surrounding areas. Interview from home: Self-schedule your interview. All interviews are conducted remotely via Zoom. Pay & On-Call Details

• $50 flat rate for each on-call shift
• On-call hours are 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, Monday–Sunday
• If called to work a client shift, you receive your regular base hourly pay in addition to the $50 on-call rate
• Same-day pay option available after your first shift

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care in clients' homes
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance
• Follow client care plans and preferences
• Step in for open or short-notice assignments
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and office staff
• Adapt to different clients, homes, and care needs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of caregiving experience OR active CNA certification
• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel throughout Huntsville and surrounding areas
• Comfortable working in homes with pets
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Dependable and flexible
• Comfortable completing a background screening
• Must be available for the agreed schedule 8:00 AM–8:00 PM on-call schedule

Hands-On Experience Required Candidates must be comfortable and experienced with personal care and mobility assistance, including:

• Wheelchair and Hoyer lift transfers
• Gait belt and Barton chair use
• Total/bedbound care
• Catheter care
• Other hands-on personal care needs

Must be able to assist with mobility, lift over 50+ lbs., and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation. Benefits for Full-Time Employees (32-40 hours a week)
