About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in high risk labor and delivery License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Current supervisory references Proof of required certifications Clinical review must be passed Experience in high acuity and high pace environments Experience in high risk labor and delivery Description: Locals are welcome at the same rate. Candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience are required. Must have experience in a high-risk delivery setting. Must have the ability to circulate during delivery and provide care for newborns. The role may require floating to postpartum and antepartum units. Candidates must provide newborn care, including eye assessments and vitamin K injections. Knowledge of electronic fetal monitoring is necessary. Candidates will work in a high-volume, high-risk labor and delivery environment. Understanding and application of AWHONN guidelines is required. Daily census averages 15 patients, with 500-600 deliveries per month. Availability for weekend and holiday shifts is expected. Candidates should have experience caring for midwifery clients and supporting community care clinics. Cross-training in postpartum care and procedures is involved in this role. Special procedures and equipment will be utilized frequently. The unit includes 31 rooms dedicated to labor and delivery care. Staffing will follow established guidelines to ensure quality patient care.
