Inside Service Technician I

This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Motorola radio communications equipment and other electronics devices. Services are primarily provided inside a service center, but also occasionally includes performing work at customer locations. Includes repairing and servicing equipment on a workbench or in vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing equipment on the bench, as well as. equipment installed in emergency and other commercial vehicles. This position reports to a team leader, shop supervisor, or service manager. Location Overview This position is for our location in MARIETTA, GA. Pay Overview Pay is based on experience and overall qualifications. Pay starting at $20 per hour and up. Hours of operation overview 7 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday PTO – Paid Time Off Holidays Medical Vision Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Required/Preferred Skill Set High School Diploma or equivalent Hand tool knowledge Clear MVR for 7 years Drivers’ license for the state of residency. Essential Functions Position is ACTIVE with lifting, pushing/pulling, or carrying 50 - 75% of the time of 10 – 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Position is primary preformed in NONCLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. Key Responsibilities Follow standardized repair process including but not limited to diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment Determine material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; take appropriate action to meet those needs and make repairs. Provide customer service support by answering calls & providing technical support to customers, field service technicians, salespersons, and others to resolve equipment malfunctions Answer questions regarding the features and benefits of products Diversified Electronics is a Drug Free Workplace.
