Metrology Engineer
Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins seeks a Metrology Engineer to lead calibration, qualification, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation in a regulated environment. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, GxP compliance, and continuous improvement while partnering with operations and quality teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead calibration, maintenance, qualification, and validation activities for laboratory equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new laboratory instrumentation
- Develop and execute protocols, engineering assessments, investigations, and technical reports
- Manage calibration schedules, maintenance records, and equipment documentation to maintain validated state
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or related technical field
- Minimum 8 years metrology, calibration, instrumentation engineering, or equipment qualification experience in regulated environments
- Proficiency troubleshooting, repairing, qualifying, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation
- Strong technical writing skills for procedures, protocols, investigations, and validation documentation
- Demonstrated experience working within GxP-regulated environments
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Experience with CMMS, laboratory software systems, and equipment lifecycle management preferred
