MWH is a leading water and wastewater treatment focused general contractor in the US with a rich history dating back to the 19th century Fueled by the mission of Building a Better World our teams are rapidly growing across the nation As a company committed to our teams well being and growth we offer a supportive work environment opportunities for advancement and the chance to contribute to a mission that shapes the future Your expertise and ambition are valued here The work we do matters The critical systems infrastructure we build changes lives betters communities and improves ecosystems If youre passionate about this we want to hear from you About the Role MWH is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the team in engineering coordination and construction of the civil architectural and structural packages on a large wastewater treatment plant WWTP project in Austin Texas This position will report directly to the Senior PM This position is accountable for supporting all aspects of delivery for civil architectural and structural work that may include procurement contract management change management quality management and general management of other work related issues The Assistant PM must ensure work is performed on budget on schedule and in accordance with the contract documents and other engineering standards Essential Functions Provide leadership and support to the Trade Package Project Managers and Site SuperintendentsProcurement Support Project Managers and Contracts Team in the development of trade and equipment procurement documents to ensure all trade contracts services and materials to perform specific tasks are secured and available when neededChange Management Coordinate with PMs and Superintendents to review and evaluate proposed change orders against the contract documents and to assess the validity of the proposed cost estimates for the work Assist in the management of Time and Materials tickets where required on executed change orders and force account workScheduling Support PMs in weekly progress updates with the trade contractors and program schedule team Shop Drawings RFIs As Built Drawings Coordinate with Project Engineering team to ensure timely processing of submittals and RFIs and accurate maintenance of As Built drawings for assigned trade packages Issues Management Attend routine meetings and track critical issues requiring resolution to maintain construction progress Drive issues to conclusion through active communications with responsible parties Quality Responsible for understanding quality requirements of assigned trade packages and coordinating with trade contractors and Program Quality team to ensure that quality activities are planned executed and documented according to contract requirementsSafety Responsible for the safe conduct of MWH personnel to ensure a zero accident project Ensure all site personnel meets minimum safety requirements eg training orientations tools and equipmentMonitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements;
