Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary Provide mental health services including comprehensive assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with medical staff while maintaining regulatory compliance and professional standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning. Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based practices. Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed. Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) within required timeframes. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes. Work collaboratively with primary care providers, care coordinators, and other healthcare team members to support integrated behavioral health care. Provide consultation to medical staff regarding behavioral health concerns and treatment recommendations. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and treatment options. Support referrals to specialty mental health, substance use services, community resources, or higher levels of care when needed. Adhere to all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, Rural Health Clinic requirements, and clinic policies. Maintain active licensure and complete all mandated continuing education. Uphold professional, ethical, and culturally sensitive standards of practice. Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Requirements Excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively. Complete annual education requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Report to work on time and as scheduled. Wear identification while on duty. Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times. Comply with all organizational policies. Conduct oneself as a professional in accordance with PRIDE values. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Attend regular staff meetings and in-services. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field. Active Iowa state licensure required (e.g., LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent). Ability to obtain credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans. Strong therapeutic skills and experience working with diverse populations. Proficient with electronic health record systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr Crawford County Clinic
