Novella is building AI to protect the largest, most complicated assets in the world. Whether it's a rocket going to space or a skyscraper on the coast, Novella is building the first AI powered specialty insurance brokerage.
The Role
- Design and build our analytics infrastructure from scratch - data pipelines, warehousing, transformation layers, and reporting tools.
- Build and implement the most advanced AI tools to help generate insights based on our data
- Create dashboards and reporting systems that give leadership and teams real-time visibility into key metrics.
- Partner with engineering to implement proper data structures and event tracking across our platform.
- Help management continuously track and report on key metrics of the business.
- Build self-serve analytics capabilities that empower teams to answer their own questions.
- 6+ years in analytics, data engineering, or BI roles, with experience building analytics infrastructure from scratch.
- Deep expertise in modern data stack tools - warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), transformation (dbt), orchestration (Airflow, Dagster), and visualization (Looker, Tableau, Metabase).
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and a passion for using them to build faster and smarter.
- Experience in insurance, fintech, or another regulated industry is a plus but not required.
- Someone flexible who understands every day at an early stage startup is like a decade in the corporate world. We move quickly and do whatever needs to get done no matter your title.
