Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Communications in Olympia, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. Using clear communication and sound judgment, you will help create a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and irregular conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, support applicable entry procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel. Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Hold CPR certification, preferred. Have access control and badge experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
