Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Barrington, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care to neonates and preterm infants with an emphasis on stabilization, transport, and continuous monitoring. The position requires adaptability to a rotating shift schedule and offers opportunities for impactful clinical work in a Level 2 Trauma Center with a dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Job Details:

• Shift Hours: Rotating, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure with BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience, Illinois or eligible state licensure, and ability to attend at least one orientation shift to learn workflow
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center NICU, familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system, and skills in neonatal stabilization and transport of infants 32 weeks gestation and older
• Responsibilities include participating in baby stabilization, assisting with peripheral blood draws, supporting charge nurses, and coordinating care for neonatal patients
• Support on the unit includes a 24/7 Pediatric hospitalist and Neonatologists who perform daily rounds, with on-call obstetric coverage available
