Job Summary We are looking for a talented Appliance Service Technician to join our team! As an Appliance Service Technician, you are a key member of the team responsible for the quality and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of appliances and other equipment. You also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and team members. Responsibilities Install home appliances/equipment Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home Perform washer, dryer, dishwasher, cooking, and refrigerator repair/maintenance Diagnose and fix washer, dryer, dishwasher, cooking, and refrigerator systems, order parts, generate estimates Provide excellent customer service and technical skills Demonstrate excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed Examine customer’s appliances and identify cause of breakdown Perform maintenance and repair work on customers' appliances Advise customers on how to use appliances correctly Maintain an accurate record of inventory and all items/parts used Work with office staff to submit billing notes and collect payment Perform other duties as needed, which may include cross‑training in related positions Qualifications Valid Driver's License with a clean record Must be at least 18 years of age Proficiency navigating tablet-based technology Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance Physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and talking or hearing 1 year related experience (e.g., repairing, maintaining, and/or installing home appliances, HVAC, electronics, electrical, plumbing, etc.) Ability to read electrical schematics and use a multimeter Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn National Appliance Service Technician Certification (NASTeC), Factory Authorized Training by Manufacturer, or other certification is advantageous Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Bonus based on performance Company car Company parties Competitive salary Dental insurance Free food & snacks Free uniforms Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Training & development Paid training Flexible scheduling Growth and career advancement opportunities Great working environment Competitive hourly plus commission based on experience, or commission only depending on candidate Medical + dental Company vehicle Company cell phone Paid sick and paid holidays Specialty equipment #J-18808-Ljbffr
