The Building Engineer will oversee the maintenance and operation of a single industrial facility for Teya | Vierra company which which has facility maintenance contract with DHS, for ensuring all systems function efficiently and safely. This role involves hands-on management of equipment, adherence to safety standards, and coordination with vendors to support facility upgrades and emergency interventions. Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools is advantageous for effective maintenance tracking and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular building maintenance and system inspections
- Repair equipment and troubleshoot operational issues
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility services and upgrades
- Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve facility incidents
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities and reports
- Support facility upgrades to enhance operational efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in building engineering
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experienced in preventive maintenance techniques
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Must Pass DHS|ICE background clearance
