Job Summary:
This contract opportunity is for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse at a healthcare provider located in Austin, Texas. The position is based in a Level 4 NICU within an acute care setting. Qualified candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The assignment includes night shifts with on-call requirements, and it is available to start as soon as possible.

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; shift time from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with on-call requirements
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 2 years of NICU experience including level 4 NICU experience, proficiency with Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and at least 2 years of NICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with team collaboration and positive attitude, adaptable to change, and professional attire in navy scrub color
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has approximately 65 beds with over 200 staff members
  • Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1
  • Equipment includes ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, breast pumps, and more
  • Permanent positions available for night and weekend shifts
  • Most recruited candidates include travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters
  • Dress code specifies navy scrubs
  • Unit policy details and recognition items available for review
