CT Technologist

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) Specialty: Radiology/CT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: Start time 10:30 AM, Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, Fluoroscopy License Must-Have: - California license - R-credential - Certified CT preferred Description: The unit performs imaging across multiple modalities. Radiology handles X-rays and CT scans. Nuclear Medicine focuses on nuclear medicine studies. Ultrasound technicians perform a variety of imaging except for perinatal cases. The department requires BLS certification and fluoro license for all technologists. The common types of imaging/studies performed include all X-rays, CT scans, MRI studies, nuclear medicine scans, and ultrasound, except for echocardiograms and leg ultrasounds. Technologists are expected to work weekends based on departmental needs. Holiday work may be required on an as-needed basis. There is a radiology supervisor present in the unit. The emergency system and pharmacy are available 24/7. Radiology and CT staff work 10 or 12-hour shifts. Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.
