With a strong legacy of innovation, quality, and service, Komline‑Sanderson commits to operational excellence and long‑term value creation Position The Manual Machinist I is responsible for setting up and operating conventional machining equipment to manufacture, repair, and modify precision components used in industrial equipment and systems. Roles and Responsibilities Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and saws Manufacture, modify, and repair metal components to precise tolerances according to engineering drawings and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, sketches, and technical documents Select appropriate tooling, materials, speeds, and feeds for machining operations Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection equipment Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work environment Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and dimensional requirements Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime and production delays Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and production teams to support manufacturing operations Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations Maintain accurate production and quality documentation Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes, efficiency, and workplace safety Required Qualifications 3+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment 1–3 years of hands‑on manual machining experience operating conventional machine shop equipment High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in machining preferred Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques Knowledge of machining materials, tooling, cutting methods, and shop mathematics Ability to maintain tight tolerances and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision Understanding of OSHA safety standards and safe machine operation practices Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during shifts Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Forklift or overhead crane operation experience Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience Equal Opportunity Statement: Komline is an EEO employer – M/F/Vets/Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr Komline Sanderson
