Registered Nurse – PCU

Night shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15).

Assignment Details

This is a float pool position, with no assigned home unit. The clinician will float between multiple units and may be required to assist at various locations as needed.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of RN experience required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Must be able to manage patients within the scope of PCU care including telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response.
• Flexibility to float and meet the needs of the facility.
• All required competencies in the following areas:
• Cardiac Monitoring and Management
• Sepsis and Wound Care
• Renal Failure and AFIB management
• Stroke care management
• COVID-19 care
• Pending licenses not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition.

Compliance / Notes

Must work a minimum of 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed.
