Job Overview:
The Staff Accountant I role is an experienced individual contributor position that operates with minimal supervision. This role involves managing workstreams, projects, or end-to-end processes within Accounting Operations. The ideal candidate will drive accurate execution, resolve complex issues through analysis and experience, influence operational practices, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to enhance outcomes and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently with minimal supervision by taking ownership of tasks, priorities, and deliverables; set clear goals and execute plans to achieve them.
• Manage entire projects or processes, including developing plans, setting milestones, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely, successful outcomes.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to peers and junior colleagues by sharing expertise, best practices, and insights.
• Communicate effectively within and outside the job function, including with external customers, vendors, and stakeholders; share updates clearly and resolve inquiries professionally.
• Influence operational practices and procedures by presenting recommendations, promoting effective approaches, and collaborating with stakeholders to align practices across functions.
• Solve complex, multifaceted problems by gathering information, analyzing root causes and interdependencies, and applying critical thinking to develop solutions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis using prior experience and scenario-based evaluation to assess impacts and determine the best path forward.
• Contribute directly to department results by collaborating across teams, aligning efforts with stakeholders, and sharing knowledge and best practices to improve overall performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields.
• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Demonstrated experience in accounting operations or finance operations with the ability to operate independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to own and manage end-to-end processes or projects, including planning, milestones, monitoring, and delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including handling issues that span multiple stakeholders or specialties.
• Strong communication and stakeholder partnering skills, both internal and external.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing and implementing process improvements and monitoring their effectiveness using measures or KPIs.
• Experience training or coaching peers or junior colleagues in best practices and standard work.

Pay Range: $36 - $40

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
