Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: Day shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Experience: Minimum 2 years

On-Call: Required, as scheduled

Setting: CVOR / Operating Room


About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. This role will support CVOR surgical care during day shifts and includes call coverage as required.


Responsibilities
• Provide skilled nursing care in the cardiothoracic operating room
• Assist with CVOR and operating room procedures within scope of practice
• Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical environment for safe procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members
• Float to clinically appropriate units as needed based on competency and licensure
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
• Follow patient safety, infection control, and surgical care standards


Requirements
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR or Operating Room experience
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with day shift and required call coverage
• Ability to float to appropriate units within scope and competency
