Role
Principal Scientist in Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division, focusing on developing and executing clinical pharmacology strategies for drug candidates.
Responsibilities
- Designing PK/PD studies
- Applying model-informed drug development (MIDD) principles
- Analyzing dose-response relationships
- Supporting regulatory submissions
- Leading cross-functional teams
- Managing pharmacometric analyses
- Representing pharmacology in regulatory meetings
- Supporting established brands and post-approval development with some international travel (~5%)
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in pharma R&D
- Expertise in PK, PD, MIDD, and modeling tools (e.g., NONMEM, R, Gastroplus)
High-value biopharma specifics
Emphasis on quantitative methods, translational medicine, and interaction with regulatory agencies.
Work setup
Locations in NJ or PA, with potential for hybrid arrangements. International travel (~5% of time).
