Activity Director (Full Time)

Position: Resident Services Director

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Salary Range: $52,000 to $55,100 and up to $4,000 in performance based bonuses annually

Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm. Manage on Duty Weekend Rotation 10 am – 2 pm

Responsibilities

• Be a Culture Creator: set the tone of community events and the engagement of residents across the community.
• Be a Host with the Most: develop and run a quality activities program that enriches the lives of seniors.
• Be the Heart of the Community: know each resident’s likes and dislikes and ensure their engagement and satisfaction every day with compassionate, first‑class service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least one year of experience conducting group activities, evaluating resident needs, supervising staff, and training volunteers.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing appropriate care and supervision for residents.
• Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 12th‑grade proficiency.
• Possess clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Can follow written and verbal directions and solve practical problems as needed.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Able to lift or move items up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Criminally cleared.In good health, physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks; health screening verified within six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment; free from pulmonary tuberculosis at screening.
• Clean driving record per the insured’s policy.
• Possess and maintain the specific state‑required chauffeur class license.
