Paraprofessional with Student Transportation

As a Paraprofessional who provides Student Transportation with The Menta Education Group, you will work with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom and provide general support for all students at the school. You will also transport students to and from school using school equipment such as a van or bus. Responsibilities Use school transportation equipment (van or bus) to transport students to and from school Manage classroom behaviors Report behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staff Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data Maintain classroom order and safety and provide general supervision of students within the school setting Assist in the prevention and management of incidents of non‑compliance and/or escalation in behavior Stay alert for potential disruptions or safety concerns, correct and report them Respond to emergency situations Provide interventions to help students manage behaviors Think quickly, independently, and tactfully Qualifications Valid driver’s license with passenger endorsement Preferred but not required CDL‑B Age 23 or older High school diploma or equivalent Paraprofessional certification is ideal but not required Punctuality and good attendance Established work history in transportation with demonstrated length of stay in jobs Patience and willingness to work with students requiring behavioral and emotional support Acceptable motor vehicle record Pass drug and criminal background screening procedures Compensation and Benefits In accordance with the Pay Transparency amendment to the Illinois Equal Pay Act of 2003, information about pay ranges and employee benefits can be found at We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off (PTO); and a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match.
