Clean & Prep Operative

Location: Oregon, IL

Pay: $18.50 - $24.15 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Shift: 1st Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5AM to 3:30PM (Saturday OT as needed)

About the Role:

Join our production team and play a key role in preparing high-quality parts for painting and shipment. As a Clean and Prep Operative, you will clean, assemble, and prepare parts to meet work order, quality, and safety standards. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work and supporting the team.

What You'll Do:

• Clean parts using hand and powered tools to remove slag and surface debris
• Wash parts using wash booths or approved chemical solvents in preparation for painting
• Perform assembly work according to work order specifications and required tolerances
• Inspect parts regularly to ensure quality standards are met
• Package finished parts for shipment per work order requirements
• Record accurate labor and production data
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Support other production tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of required production, quality, and safety training
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and use cranes or lifting devices for heavier loads
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn
