Education Specialist (Neuro Behavioral Program)

We are seeking a creative and compassionate professional to join our Recreation Department, working with residents in our TBI Neuro Behavioral Program. DUTIES

Assess residents’ cognitive and functional levels Plan and implement educational and cognitively stimulating programs Lead group and one-on-one sessions tailored to individual needs and abilities Support residents with cognitive, mental health, and physical disabilities Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to enhance quality of life through structured programming Maintain appropriate documentation and progress notes

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Services, Psychology, Human Development, Mental Health, or a related field preferred Experience working with individuals with cognitive or behavioral challenges is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Creative, empathetic, and team-oriented approach Must be reliable, organized, and motivated to engage residents in meaningful activities About us Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a 372-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in the borough of Staten Island.
