Senior Industrial EngineerWhirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Industrial Engineer. This is an onsite role at our Findlay, Ohio location.The Senior Industrial Engineer will play a key leadership role in driving productivity, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting cost accuracy across the organization. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production standards, supporting level planning, and ensuring that costing routers accurately reflect true labor and process requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of motion economy and its relationship to work elements, enabling efficient, ergonomic, and repeatable work methods across all operations.Your responsibilities will includeProvide ways/methods to eliminate all types of waste in the production processDevelop team members in kaizen approach, problem solving, root cause analysis to reduce wasteDrive continuous improvement though detailed analyticsDevelop project pipeline for cost takeoutLead time studies utilizing Modapts, a predetermined time analysisUse Line Balancing with Yamazumi chart for line rate changesIdentify Non-value add, Unbalance, Value Add, and Semi Value Add activitiesLead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plantSupport WPS implementation by providing leadership to continuous improvement teamsDrive the plant to achieving short/long term labor productivity targetsSupport scoping of cost projects within the Findlay facilityEnsure all new models/parts efficient integration into operationsDevelop and maintain equipment capacity information and planningOwn all costing, routers, line balances, labor utilization for the plantSupport level loading across workstations and departments to balance production flow and capacityMinimum requirementsBachelor's Degree3+ years of manufacturing experiencePreferred skills and experiencesBachelor's Degree in Industrial EngineeringEngineering experience in a manufacturing plantStrong data analytical skillsThorough understanding of Lean manufacturing, with an emphasis on Value Streams and Standardized work WCM experience, specifically Workplace Organization and Focus ImprovementSAP and costing (routers, deletion factors) experienceWell-developed communications, project management, coaching, interpersonal and team building skills.
