Home Health Aide

Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction of the office.

• Assist clients with range of motion (ROM) exercises.
• Assist clients with ambulation or exercises.
• Perform personal care activities, including but not limited to:
• Bathing, hair care, skin care, nail care, and oral hygiene
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Perform household services essential to health care at home, including but not limited to:
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Laundry
• Light housekeeping
• Medication Reminders
• Report any observed or reported changes in the client's condition to the Healthy at Home Caregivers Office.
• Follow all reporting guidelines, including but not limited to:
• Any guidelines outlined in the client's Care Plan
• State required reporting of suspected elder abuse
• Document provided care and completed the necessary forms for the client's records, including but not limited to:
• Care Provided
• VA Timesheets

Requirements

• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
