Responsibilities

The Process Control Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment
Maintain the manufacturing plant's controls systems.
Install software updates with the latest versions.
Participate on project teams and serve at site SME in the development of control/instrumentation systems and specifications. Support factory acceptance testing of new equipment systems.
Lead the development and execution of small projects that are electrical/controls in nature. Upgrading of obsolete controls to modern technology.
Work with corporate engineering to support the maintenance and improvement of site electrical infrastructure, equipment, and standards as needed.
Perform system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
Reload and reboot PLC to restore faulted equipment after power outages.
Regional candidates preferred. $110K-$120K

Requirements

The Process Control Engineer will have a BSEE, or related engineering degree and 5+ years of related experience in a chemical plant, refinery or similar process manufacturing plant.
Familiarity with communication networks like Ethernet/IP and Modbus.
Understanding of process instrumentation (sensors, actuators, etc.).
Understanding of low-voltage distribution, safety relays, and emergency stop circuits.
Knowledge of databases and historians for logging machine data
Understanding of feedback loops & PID controllers.
