Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Staff Manufacturing Engineer in Chicago, IL. This is a permanent job. The work will be done onsite in Chicago, IL (Rogers Park neighborhood). Compensation is up to $150K/yr + bonus and full benefits.

We're partnering with a well-established manufacturer to find a Staff Manufacturing Engineer who will play a key role in improving assembly operations, implementing new manufacturing equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across high-volume production. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to lead impactful manufacturing projects while collaborating with Production, Quality, Product Engineering, Planning, Facilities, and Maintenance teams.

We are seeking candidates with:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
• 7–10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (or 5–7 years with a Master's degree)
• Experience in medium- to high-volume mechanical assembly manufacturing environments
• Hands-on experience with assembly process development and optimization
• Experience specifying, implementing, and supporting manufacturing equipment and tooling
• Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
• Experience with root cause analysis, PFMEA, control plans, and statistical process control (SPC)
• Experience creating manufacturing documentation including SOPs, work instructions, process flows, and routings
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership skills
• Experience managing manufacturing equipment or tooling projects over $100K is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing equipment and tooling
• Optimize assembly processes, workstations, and manufacturing layouts
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and standard work
• Support quality initiatives including PFMEA, control plans, and SPC
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Facilities, and Maintenance teams
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers

Location & Schedule

Onsite: Chicago, IL (Rogers Park)

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
