Inventory Management Specialist
US Department of War
Job DutiesPlan and initiate action to distribute, return, or dispose of excess, expired, unserviceable, obsolete, or suspended materiel.Compute and analyze materiel requirements for specialized programs and routine operations.Conduct supply and demand studies to determine and forecast inventory supply needs.Prepare and execute procurement orders utilizing primary commercial vendor systems, mandatory sources of supply, and established contracting vehicles.Prepare and submit periodic supply requirements to centralized distribution centers and warehouses.Coordinate with other logistics and procurement personnel to consolidate orders, distribute materiel, or revise requirements.Monitor, review, and guide the work assignments of subordinate supply staff or support personnel to ensure operational adequacy and accuracy.
