Job Summary

Technicians may be utilized to respond to multiple types of work orders. GMT Locksmiths may more

frequently perform rekeying in the COM process, core changes, lock repair/replacement and the

management and maintenance of the key system. GMT Locksmith will also assist Property Management

and residents with lock-outs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lock repair/replacement, rekeying COM homes, key control, core changes, key duplications, assign keys.Work in coordination with Property Management teams to assist in resident lock-outs.
• Respond to service calls, complete COM work and other property work orders relating to locks and key control.
• Respond to and complete on-call after hour emergency and urgent repairs.
• Update work order status including time, materials and notes on mobile devices provided in an accurate and timely manner. Complete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Keep supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts, problems identified/potential problems, etc.; recommend corrective actions to supervisor.
• Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.
