About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (17:00-05:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience License: Current RN license Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, EFM-C or AWHONN preferred Must-Have: Candidates without the following skills will not be considered for this role: Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience NRP, BLS, ACLS, EFM-C or AWHONN Description: This position is for a travel RN specializing in Labor & Delivery. The unit has a total of 16 beds and a staff of 40. Staffing on Day Shift includes 6 RNs, including 1 charge nurse and 1 scrub tech. Night Shift includes 5 RNs, including 1 charge nurse and 1 scrub tech. Patient ratios are approximately 1:2 and may fluctuate with acuity. Equipment includes a GE fetal monitor system and EMR, specifically CPN and Meditech. The unit performs typical procedures such as cerclages, versions, c-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&C's, care of fetal demise, and epidurals. Candidates should have the ability to circulate a c-section and care for both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong teamwork, collaborative spirit, and exceptional patient experience skills. Familiarity with unblocked and unepiduralized patients is preferred. Mom/Baby and couplet care experience is also desirable. Strong collaboration skills with physicians, midwives, and doulas are essential. Candidates with these skills will be prioritized during the selection process.
