Job Location: Detroit, MI

A school district in Detroit, Michigan is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a full-time, school-based contract. This position serves K-12 students and focuses on assessment, intervention, and collaboration to support academic achievement and social-emotional development. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate academic, cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning
• Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, compliant written evaluation reports
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs
• Support the development and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Assist with MTSS, early intervention, and school-based mental health initiatives as applicable
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan School Psychologist certification/license required
• Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
• Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
• Education: Masters degree, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or higher in School Psychology or a related field
• Experience: Prior school-based experience preferred
• Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and participating in special education processes preferred
• New graduates with appropriate credentials and internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Skills: Strong assessment, data interpretation, and report-writing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Commitment to supporting diverse student populations

Work Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Approximately 37-40 hours per week
