Assistant Retread Plant Manager

Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the retread facility to ensure efficient production and quality standards.

Supervise team members during assigned shifts, monitor performance, and provide coaching and support as needed.

Help ensure production goals are met by assisting with workflow coordination and addressing operational challenges.

Assist in resolving customer issues or complaints by working with the Plant Manager to determine timely and effective solutions.

Support employee training by utilizing company training tools, verifying completion, and following up to ensure consistency and compliance.

Address employee concerns promptly and escalate issues to the Plant Manager when appropriate.

Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, payroll review, and documentation as assigned.

Help communicate work assignments, delegate tasks, and follow up to ensure responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

Maintain production records, documentation, and other operational reports.

Monitor plant equipment and report maintenance needs to help ensure equipment remains in safe working condition.

Assist in managing production schedules while maintaining established quality and productivity standards.

Promote and enforce a safe work environment by following and supporting all company safety policies and procedures.

Assist in monitoring inventory levels, minimizing waste, and maintaining inventory within company guidelines.

Work with supervisors and team members to maintain the cleanliness and organization of both the interior and exterior of the facility.

Serve as acting Plant Manager in the Plant Manager's absence, as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs, and the successful candidate should be flexible and willing to take on new challenges.

High School diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing, production, or supervisory experience preferred. Experience in the tire retreading industry is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and team members. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Basic computer skills and experience with production documentation are preferred. Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
