Job Summary Geisinger is offering Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible candidates joining our outpatient clinic teams. This full‑time, 40‑hour per week role provides primary clinical support in our ambulatory care environment. Job Duties Provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient and family during diagnosis and treatment. Obtains and documents patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and medical data base for the provider. Assists with the performance of minor surgical and diagnostic procedures, laboratory specimen collection, and associated paperwork. Administers medications and vaccines per provider direction and scope of practice. Maintains a clean, aseptic environment; cleans and sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases. Processes and follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and proper filing in the medical record. Prioritizes and documents patient communication, responds to patient questions and requests to support efficient provider workflow. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred). Basic Life Support Certification. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
