Senior Workday Financials Consultant

Role Description

We are seeking a senior-level Workday Financials Consultant to augment a lean, high-performing Finance Solution Delivery team. This role serves as a versatile "utility player," providing hands-on configuration, production support, and enhancement delivery across multiple Workday Financials domains. The consultant will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement stakeholders to support operational stability and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on configuration and production support across Workday Financials
• Operate independently across multiple functional areas based on business priority
• Troubleshoot defects and resolve production issues efficiently
• Design and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions (not short-term fixes)
• Translate business requirements into effective system solutions
• Contribute to platform enhancements, optimizations, and process improvements

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience
• Experience with integrations, APIs, or enterprise systems
• Strong end-to-end understanding of Workday financial processes
• Proven ability to balance production support with project-based work
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, lean team environment
• Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking mindset
• Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Top Priority: Financial Accounting (highest), Expenses, Business Assets
  • Secondary: Banking & Settlement
  • Lower Priority: Procurement (de-emphasized / phasing out)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday Accounting Center and/or Prism
• Familiarity with Workday integrations and reporting
• Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives
• Exposure to Workday Orchestrations or automation frameworks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders
