Job Summary:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - Open Heart specialty position is located in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a pediatric intensive care environment for a level three cardiac intensive care unit. The position offers a dynamic and fast-paced clinical setting with rotating day and night shifts focused on pediatric cardiac patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, working from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) will consider Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with 6 years of experience; Colorado registered nurse license or multi-state compact license; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCR) certification, VAD experience (please note in work history comments), experience in a teaching hospital setting.
• Float: Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other areas of practice within their clinical competence and within thirty-five (35) miles of the originally assigned facility.
• Additional Information: No time off approved within the first two weeks of assignment. Medical and religious exemption requests for seasonal influenza vaccination are permitted. The contract requires travel and float capabilities.
