Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure
• Experience working with students in Early Childhood through High School (Pre-K, Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12)
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
• Creative approach to problem solving and differentiated instruction
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and equity in the classroom

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver tailored instructional activities for special education students across a range of grade levels
• Assess and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed to meet individual goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation for compliance with IEPs and district regulations
• Create a supportive, positive classroom environment where all learners can thrive
• Facilitate small group and individualized interventions targeting academic and behavioral growth
