About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the operating room. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS required. Must-Have: Must have circulate and scrub experience. Strong experience in at least two of the following specialties: neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to cancellation. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of operating room experience and cannot be considered if they have been out of the acute operating room setting for more than six months. Applicants with recent management roles will not be considered. Traveler experience is required, but candidates without prior travel experience may still be screened. The unit accepts contracts for 13 weeks. Candidates must be able to scrub and circulate. Patient diagnoses in priority order are neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, robotics, urology, podiatry, oncology GYN, and miscellaneous procedures. Ratios of cases to rooms are approximately 45 cases to 17 rooms each day. Scheduling includes 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, rotating from 06:45 to 19:15. Call requirements include approximately 2 shifts of 8 hours and 1 shift of 24 hours every 8 weeks. Float requirements are not applicable. Unit orientation includes a minimum of three days. Candidates must possess strong experience in at least 2-3 of the prioritized specialties. The unit utilizes various systems for operations and communications. Candidates must be open to orientation and pre-start modules as required.
