Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 14 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 14 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with both circulating and scrubbing experience for a Main OR position covering multiple surgical specialties.Details\n \n Main OR setting supporting General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgeries\n Adult to geriatric patient population\n 16 operating rooms with an average daily census of 35\n Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM\n Uses Epic, Pyxis, and 2 DaVinci XI Robots\n Works 2-3 weekends per 8 week schedule, either in-house or on call\n Rare floating within facility and scope of practice as needed\n Call requirements include 7-8 calls per 8 week schedule, including 1 weekend call, 1-2 weekend call shifts, and 2-3 weekday night call shifts\n Call shifts are either 7 PM-7 AM or 7 AM-7 PM\n Requirements\n \n Active GA or Compact RN license required\n BLS certification required\n Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required\n Both circulating and scrubbing experience required\n Experience with procedures across Vascular, Neuro, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Robotics, and Urology specialties\n Additional Information\n \n Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including robotics-assisted procedures\n Scrubs provided by facility\n Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)\n Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)\n RTO requests cannot be made during orientation week or after offer/onsite\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate\n Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-750816.
