Our Cardiovascular Hospitalist providers are an independent hospitalist team that works primarily out of the Acute Cardiovascular unit at Intermountain Medical Center. This collaborative group of providers, comprised of both APPs and physicians, admit patients coming in with a presumed primary cardiac conditions and provides comprehensive consultative service within the CV unit. There are dedicated CV Intensivists in the building, so there is no ICU care provided by the CV Hospitalist team. They manage most heart failure, acute MI, myopericarditis, primary and secondary arrhythmias admitted. If the patient is found to have a primary medical condition after initial work-up, they continue to manage the patient on their service. Patients are not transferred to the General Medicine team./ppWe are looking for an experienced inpatient APP, passionate about caring for patients with significant cardiovascular and internal medicine conditions on an as-needed basis (PRN). PRN providers are required to submit availability for at least 2 shifts per month and be work at least 4 per quarter. Please note that shifts are not guaranteed in this PRN role./ppThe Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will play a critical role in the management of hospitalized patients, with a primary focus on those on general medicine floors.
