Job Title: Offset Press Operator Job Description

The Offset Press Operator safely sets up and operates a conventional, sheet-fed printing press while leading the print crew to achieve high-quality output and consistent production efficiency in line with machine standards and customer specifications.

• Set up and operate a conventional, sheet-fed offset printing press in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adjust press settings and controls to meet job specifications and achieve optimum print quality.
• Provide clear direction and guidance to the print crew to ensure smooth workflow and timely job completion.
• Monitor press performance and production speed to maintain consistent output in accordance with machine standards.
• Inspect printed materials throughout the run to verify color, registration, and overall print quality meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical or operational issues on the press to minimize downtime.
• Edit and adjust press programs as needed to support different jobs and production requirements.
• Follow established procedures for press setup, changeovers, and shutdown to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized press area and adhere to all safety policies and operational guidelines.

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating sheet-fed offset printing presses.
• Proficiency in offset printing processes and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with press machine operation in a production environment.
• Ability to edit and adjust press programs to meet job specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for operating and adjusting conventional printing equipment.
• Capability to lead and direct a print crew during press operations.
• Attention to detail to ensure consistent print quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Commitment to safe machine operation and compliance with production standards.

• Experience with CNC or automated machine operation in a manufacturing or print setting.
• Familiarity with multiple offset presses and related pressroom equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and correcting print or mechanical issues.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

This role is based in a pressroom environment operating conventional, sheet-fed offset printing presses and related press machinery. You will work around moving mechanical equipment and be on your feet for much of the shift while handling press setups, adjustments, and monitoring runs. The position involves working with CNC-style controls and program editing on the press to accommodate various jobs. Hours and shifts follow typical production schedules and may include extended or varying shifts depending on workload and customer demand.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mansfield, TX.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Mansfield,TX.
