Role Description The Employment Law Attorney will provide counsel and representation to employers on a wide range of workplace matters, including hiring practices, employee discipline, terminations, wage and hour issues, workplace policies, and compliance with state and federal employment laws. Day-to-day work will include advising clients, drafting and reviewing policies and contracts, conducting legal research, preparing opinions and memoranda, negotiating resolutions, and representing clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, and litigation. The attorney will collaborate with colleagues, participate in client trainings, and contribute to practice development through thought leadership and client outreach. We are a remote/hybrid friendly firm with offices in St. Cloud, MN, Long Prairie, MN, Little Falls, MN and Monticello, MN with dedicated support staff available. Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Minnesota (or ability to obtain admission promptly), with strong knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws. Experience counseling employers on employment policies, compliance, investigations, and risk management, preferably in a law firm or in-house setting. Demonstrated skills in legal research, analysis, and writing, including drafting pleadings, briefs, contracts, and advisory memoranda. Strong advocacy and negotiation abilities, with experience in administrative proceedings, mediation, and litigation related to employment matters. Excellent communication and client service skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, practical terms. Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to professional ethics, teamwork, and contributing positively to the firm’s culture and community involvement. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; prior employment law experience or related coursework and training strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
