Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

• Schedule: 3x12

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency obstetric procedures
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards

Requirements

• Active RN License in California
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
